PROJECT: QUEERLIT 2008
CONTEST AWARDS

 

  • The twenty-five Semi-Finalists (from best-rated reviews) will receive the following:
    1. their novel’s synopsis (and author contact information) listed on the Project: QueerLit website; and
    2. an official Project: QueerLit ("We recruit… and print the best of tomorrow's queer lit.") T-shirt.
  • The three Finalists (from best-rated reviews) will receive the following:
    1. author webpages (featuring author photo(s), biography information, novel synopsis, and novel excerpt) designed and hosted by Blowsquish Design as part of the Project: QueerLit website;
    2. a year’s subscription to Ashé Journal;
    3. a year’s subscription to Bloom;
    4. a year’s subscription to Chroma;
    5. a year’s subscription to Make/shift;
    6. a year’s subscription to Other ;
    7. a year’s subscription to either the Gay Men's or Lesbian's Books to Watch Out For;
    8. a choice of either the 2008 Men's or 2008 Women's Damron Travel Guide;
    9. a gift certificate of (US) $25 from Alternaqueerbooks.com;
    10. a gift certificate of (US) $25 from TLA Video; and
    11. copies of every title in the 2006 Suspect Thoughts Press catalog.
  • The Winner(s) (from best-rated reviews) will receive:
    1. copies of every title in the 2008 Suspect Thoughts Press catalog;
    2. copies of every title in the 2008 Rebel Satori Press catalog; and
    3. and author website designed and hosted by Transform Interactive Media.
  • The Grand Prize Winner(s) (selected by participating presses from all participant's novels) will be offered a publication contract for her/his novel by Rebel Satori Press and/or Suspect Thoughts Press.
